Well done thou good and Faithful Servant.....

Because of medical reasons i will not longer be able to serve as a full time missionary.
My flight will leave Friday and I will be Idaho bound
But I would like to thank everyone in my previous areas
-Hagerstown Maryland

For helping learn to be a better person and a great disciple. I loved serving and would not take it back for anything.
There was nothing better I could have been doing than this right now. I gotta go serve the Lord for 1 year on the dime and can't wait to come back and visit in the future
God bless the east coast
Love -ELDER KILLIAN
I attached pictures of people and places in my different areas and I will truly miss it all.

Week 52.....A Year Serving the Lord

So it's Thursday now so I missed a lot, but pretty much the news for the most part is now elder steenblik is serving here and he is liking it quite a bit, he just came from serving about 9 months in the Baltimore zone so it's new for him he hasn't left maryland, until now.
We have had a pretty good past couple days we have been basically just trying to get the area rounded up with loose potentials running around the area book app planner,I am now trying to shift over to using phone planners instead of paper,
Lets just say It took a long time to plan this morning  that we have introduced him to a couple members of our ward so far.
We rode bikes a lot today and we hadn't rode bikes in awhile and I about threw up because it was so hot and muggy and exhausted of pedaling up what seems endless hills.
We stopped by some cool members the peris family and and the mom, she is from Idaho falls and they just got done visiting family there
We were sharing a message with them and they have a little 1 and a half year old baby named Evelyn who just started walking, well mid spiritual sentence she crawled on the couch and fell off backwards so she had a good little screaming session then we went back to it. So that was fun.
There was a lady who wanted us to bless her house because she saw a snake in the backyard, she's a little crazy, good thing she's the sisters gator.
We never actually went over there to do that but it's an as you wish thing so when she wants us to we will I guess . But if I bless it I am going to say that I have a feeling that you doing drugs attracts snakes and I bless that if you stop they will go away.
My faith is sufficient
Well anyways that a little bit of the days I missed and it's about today as well.
Goodnight.

Friday- so today as Got up and got ready we got the car today so that's awesome because it said it was suppose to be high humidity and 91 degrees soooo hot really hot
We had a couple things set for today we had lunch then we went to the leasing office to check in the new missionary which costs 45 dollars and someone had also taken a fire extinguisher and sprayed it all over the entrance to the complex, (super funny people.)
We then went to a gator named Andrew and he had lost his scriptures again for the 4th time and then we asked him where he was reading last and he opened up a random page and said about the end of mosiah. I got fed up with it so I may have told him off in a nice way, after that he said he would read from the beginning and not lose it.
We had a dinner appointment with a young family the Galarzas they both served a mission in Bolivia and then came back and got married, they have to kids who were both sick so hopefully I don't get a cold or something, but anyways we got to talking about kids and they said they are naming there next son after me they have it planned out
Killian Wolfe Galarza. Kinda interesting name but they were serious about it so I rolled with it.

Then we had a sick lesson with Matthew. Who has almost quit smoking he said he has had 5 cigarettes the past 3 days and now has 2 cigars left and he is done. That's pretty good from being 3 weeks ago 2 packs a day kinda guy, he is super excited for baptism.
After that we went to street contact in the city so we were walking around and I saw this glass beer bottle and thought I would do a good deed and kick it off the sidewalk and into the grass, so I kicked it and it slid into a curb and it was lowd and it shattered everywhere and some old guy sitting on his porch just yelled what was that, it was dark and hard to see so we just walked away before anyone saw it was me. So that's me changing the world one flat bike tire at a time
Anyways it's time for night time.

Saturday- got to and from the get go we walked and walked so much we have received a list of new rules and emphasis on previous ones and it will take time to adjust now, anyways today was basically a lot of hard work and walking but we picked up 4 investigators and set solid return appointments.

Sunday- got up exhausted this morning from walking last night and breathing heavy on the humidity when walking is not good so I have a little cough now, but none the less we went to church, we got there and Matthew came to church again. And the sisters had someone come to church then we went to work after church, we had missionary coordination and we went with the sisters to our ward mission leaders house, him and his wife and his son and his sons girlfriend were there, we ate and we got to talking about his sons mission and it turns out that his son Nick Padilla had served a mission in Australia and Cody Babneau was his zone leader in one of his areas
So it is a small world after all then we went and a sister wanted a blessing and so we did that and went to the vineyard, we were walking down this street and these 2 kids were playing curb ball which I guess in the ghetto you get a basketball and 2 people stand on each side of the road an try to hit the opposite curb with the ball. So elder Steenblik was on coltons team and I was on Aliyahs, of course we won and then it was time to head back and by the way In 3 days I will be at my 1 year mark
so yep goodnight.

Week 51

Monday- today the zone leaders called us and said a member was taking them to a town in Pennsylvania called Intercourse, very interesting place. Anyways they wanted us to come with them and so we did.
It was really cool they had like Amish sample stuff and gifts shops and cheese and meat and clothes. A guy from Nascar was touring on the way to a race or something and decided to stop at Intercourse Pennsylvania and was visiting there so he opened up the back of his trailer and backed his number 11 Fed Ex car out and started it up and it was super loud and awesome. So I got to see Amish people and a perfesssional Nascar racer and his car close up.
Anyways we got done with that party and we went to the Church with the rest of the missionaries and played soccer and then volleyball then we went to dinner at bishop humes house and had all their healthy food and then for desert we had watermelon, except this watermelon was yellow on the inside instead of red, and it was good. We then tried to see a couple more people and came back to the apartment. The sisters stopped by and asked for a blessing so we had to give them a blessing outside our apartment complex in some random yard chair we found, we figured it out.
Anyways that's it til tomorrow.

Tuesday- had district meeting this morning and I gave an instruction on adjusting to missionary life and learning to work hard, I think it went well.
After district meeting had concluded we went to subway and then back to work in the vineyard.
We stopped by Andrew again and followed up on his reading of the Book of Mormon, he needs to work, we ask him if he did and he says yes but then we ask him where in the book of Mormon he is at and he said Joshua, which isn't in the book of Mormon so, we shared the video of Jeffrey r Holland and him testifying of Joseph Smith and the book of Mormon, in one of his talks called safety for the soul.
We tried to stop by a few more people but nothing ended up working out and it started raining.
So we got a call from the sisters and they didn't want to ride their bikes home in the rain, and I don't blame them.
So we picked them up and talked and joked about the healthy food diets bishops wife makes him do and shared our experiences with going over there and eating, then we came back to the apartment and are preparing for bed.

Skipped Wednesday

Thursday- today we had plans to see a couple people in the city of Lancaster so we got all our preperation for the day done and left. The first guy is a member and he is in the Lancaster hospital and is in bad shape, we went to go see him and we about walked in his room when this lady made us put these gowns on and rubber gloves before we entered his room.
So I didn't know what expect.
Well we walked in and he started talking to us about his medical problems and then kinda abruptly ask what do we want, we told him we were the missionaries and he about lost it, because the whole time that we were standing there which was about 15 minutes he thought we were more doctors until we ask to read a scripture, he then apologized and went telling us about his mission and family life, just a super nice guy, he was trying to convert the nurse there.
After that we had a dinner and a lesson which had we picked up a new gator and then the sisters wanted a ride home and so we picked them up and headed back, then president mutumbo called me checking up on my medical reasons and kept calling me beloved, which is maybe what Mormons from the Congo always say to those instead of friends, it's kinda weird and kinda nice so I just roll with it.

Friday- a lot of our plans fell through today and we now have to stay out longer according to President mutumbo, we were suppose to be in by 9 now we are not allowed to be in until 930, it's only a half hour time but in the part of the city we were in I don't like to knock doors past 830 and it is really hard to set appointments for so late, so we kinda look like chickens with our heads cut off thinking of things to do.

Saturday-today we got up an did the morning routines then we had an appointment with a guy named Mark, so we called brother Whitlock to come with us and he did but mark didn't open the door, but you loose most and win some, with missionary work.
But we will keep bothering him because he said we could come back.
We then has dinner with the Martinez family and that was fun, it started to rain so the sisters wanted a ride back to their apartment, then we went to Strasburg and tried a few people but no success, then we ended stopping by a active members and we talked and shared a message with them.
Then we stopped and got gasoline and they made the time schedule end up so we got home exactly at 930 and so it all worked out like we're suppose to do it.
Well I get the great opportunity of talking in church tomorrow so we will see how it goes.

Sunday- got up this morning and headed to ward council after picking up the sisters, we greeted everybody at the chapel doors, we had one gator come to church which was Matthew, then we I went and sat up on the stand to give my talk, it must have went pretty well because people kept saying I like how real it was not some made up spiritual overwhelming talk, then one of the sisters gators ask if I was studying to be a public speaker or a pastor because I am good at it. I didn't try and be super funny but I think their needs to be a balance because laughter is no enemy to learning.
Anyways we had a meal right after church with the Whitlocks which was good, one of their 10 year old granddaughters was trying to jump all over us so we just insisted not a good idea, the one was trying to find elder Allred ticklish spot which she got in trouble for that one,
Oh and by the way we got our transfer doctrine early this morning and turns out I am staying in Lancaster with elder Steenblik and elder Allred is going to susquehanna, he will be missed.
I don't know about my next companion but I hear he is really cool.
Anyway I am ready for preperation day tomorrow
